The International Alliance of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Integrative Psychotherapy (IACHIP) is committed to upholding high standards in psychotherapy practice and ensuring public protection concerning our members and accredited training courses.
If you have concerns or wish to make a complaint about a IACHIP member, accredited training provider, volunteer, or staff member, please fill in the complaint form.
By submitting your complaint, you confirm that the information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You also authorise the IACHIP Complaints Department to share relevant information with appropriate staff or committee members to address your concern.

Complaints Procedure Guidelines
-
The Directors of IACHIP have the authority to appoint a special Complaints Committee. This committee will comprise at least three senior IACHIP Members and will be responsible for investigating all complaints.
-
The Directors may, at their discretion, delegate the complaints process to an external professional body.
-
No Director, member of the Disciplinary Committee, or member of the Complaints Committee may participate in an investigation involving themselves.
-
Members of the public who wish to lodge a complaint against a IACHIP member must submit their complaint in writing. The Complaints Committee will keep the complainant informed at every stage of the process with regular written updates.
-
If a complaint is upheld by the Complaints Committee, the matter will be referred to the Directors who will convene a Disciplinary Committee, who have the authority to:
-
Issue a formal censure to the member.
-
Impose a suspension for a fixed period.
-
Expel the member from IACHIP.
-
-
The complainant will be informed in writing of the outcome of the complains procedure.
Complaint Process
The Complaints Procedure is designed to address any complaints against members in a fair, transparent, and efficient manner.
This process applies to complaints involving members, volunteers, Accredited Training Providers, or IACHIP staff.
For advice regarding the complaints process, you may contact us for assistance. All complaints must be submitted in writing and signed by the complainant (electronic signatures are acceptable).
All correspondence is treated as confidential. However, certain matters may need to be reviewed by a Disciplinary Committee before a decision is reached.
